Morning all . Augusta is a really laid back town to visit and we enjoyed our three nights there. The town itself is not very big but the population we were told increases four fold over the summer. Best attractions were the lighthouse tour, (Steph opted to stay on the ground) the museum and the great beachs and walks. On the way out we visited our last cave on the 4 cave ticket. Jewel cave was the best for me with the roof in one chamber being 40 metres high and all passages and rooms just full of amazing formations that never look the same. That night was spent in Pemberton in one of our least liked camping grounds. The drive to Walpole was through very tall forrests of huge karri trees, similar to our kauri in NZ. There we went on the famous 600 metre tree top walk on a steel walkway through the tree canopy 40 feet above the ground . Steph I thought was very brave giving it a go with her fear of heights but as the walk climbed higher and with the walkway swaying and rocking she freaked out ! She said that she felt like fainting and I started worrying how I was going to get her down if that happened. There were lots of people behind her so gradually with clenched knuckles and eyes shut myself and another couple talked her on. Never again will she try something like that again and it took quite a while back on the ground for her to recover. It's a pity as I found the walk fantastic apart from her panicking! After that there was a walk through some more very old and interesting trees.
Denmark was the next port of call and again another lovely sea side town with lots of great beachs with fantastic rock formations, ie Elephant Rocks, huge rocks that look like a mob of elephants from any angles and small beachs with clear aqua blue waters. With the weather warming up the snakes are coming out and we have seen two on the road but when I stopped and jumped out with the camera they were gone as they are so fast. Next town is Albany so catch you there.

Tony Good on you for attempting the tree top walk Steph! At least you gave it a shot, or did Dad trick you into it? I tricked Eszter into a big scary water slide once but man I'll never risk my life like that again lol. I'm proud of you either way.
Ross Ha nice one Steph!!
