Up early for the 2 hour ferry/catamaran across to Roatan. It wasn't the smoothest crossing, however we did see a dolphin jumping alongside the boat, along with lots of flying fish skimming over the water. The arrival port was halfway along the island, so we had to get a taxi to West End/Half Moon bay, which we again shared with the Swiss girls. We ended up grabbing the first place we looked at which was a lovely wooden 2 bed apartment with a kitchen/diner & veranda. So the 4 of us booked this for 4 nights. This place has a distinct island/Thailand vibe to it, which we noticed as we strolled through the streets. We grabbed a beer/mojitos at one place before realising the food there was too expensive, so headed across the street to the Blue Marlin to have lunch perched over the sea. We picked up a few bits & pieces from the shops on the way back, before all of us went for a snooze! Rach (who didn't sleep) & I, got up again at about 8ish & had a gorgeous fish dinner with a bottle of wine at the hostel's restaurant whilst looking out to sea. We'd stayed local incase the girls re-appeared, but they didn't surface again until 11pm, when they joined us on the terrace to stay up chatting until about 2am.
