We were moving today, so Rach & I went snorkelling for a couple of hours in the morning, before we sadly checked out of Posada Las Orquidaes & moved 300m up the road to Casa Calico, where we got 2 separate rooms next to each other, with a small kitchen in ours. Both rooms had a wooden veranda out back with a gorgeous view into this other bay. Once we were settled, I headed off by water-taxi to West Bay to try out the snorkelling there. Unfortunately though, after trying out about 4 or 5 different spots over about 1.5 hours, it seemed this wasn't the fantastic location that I'd been told it was. No matter where I went, the water was so shallow, you spent the entire time trying not to knock into the coral or cut yourself. As this wasn't that enjoyable, I literally stopped a water-taxi in it's tracks & hauled myself on board to get back to our bay. After collecting my shoes, strolling back & showering, we all headed out for dinner. As Rach fancied prawns, Sara wanted veggie & we all couldn't decide on a budget, we were struggling to agree on a place to eat. After searching the whole town, I ended up deciding for all of us & picked.............the Blue Marlin!! But the food was fantastic & we knocked back a few beers whilst watching the moon sneakily disappear! Back at our place, to end the eve, Tanja & I finished off the wine, while Rach & Sara had the final beers. Our feeble excuse being that they all needed to be drunk!
