Close to the European settlement homes on Hollander Slope the next stop walking distance was to the Chinese Confucian Academy. I've seen many of these before in Korea and China and was quite surprised at the entrance price of 600Y ($7.25). My afternoon exploring Nagasaki continued as I tried to find the former British Consulate. On the map it was close to the HSBC banking building. After leaving the Dejima Dutch Settlement I followed the signs to Chinatown that were closeby. It was easy to find and starts with a large chinese style gateway and hanging lanterns. Chinatown wasnt that big and went down from the north gate to the south gate. In the middle it intersected with another street leading to an east gate and west gate.
