From nelson we travelled throught the Nelson Lakes national park where we stopped for a walk around the lake. it was a really clear day so the reflection on the lake was perfect of the mountains surrounding it. from here we drove to Westport whch was really dull and only a stop for people to be able to do ativities on the buller gorge. After a night here the next morning we walked to a seal colony to see the seal all sat on the rocks. and then headed to Punakiki to see the pancake rocks. these are rocks that due to the wind and sea look like layers and layers of pancakes!! it was raining so didint spend too long looking at these. Then we headed to Lake Mahinupua which is in the middle of nowhere and where on the Kiwi experienc bus stops. We stay at a pub that has some small cabins for us and is an excuse to have a fancy dress party. Our theme was anything begining with P. Me and too girls (laura and louise) went as popstars as this involvded the least imagination and money being spent!! This place was very weird and had photos of all the buses that have passed through on thr walls. THe next morning we headed to franz josef glaicer.
