Played golf even though it was very overcast. Turns out it was at a nearby course designed by Arnold Palmer. After finishing I was approached by a reporter and wound up with a brief segment on local TV:
At Rita’s request, we stopped for lunch at a Big Boy restaurant so as to indulge in totally unhealthy food!
The evening was extraordinarily interesting as regards the Presidential debate. We decided to go to the local Democratic headquarters where we joined with about 50 others in viewing the debate.
It was a great pleasure to watch Hillary wipe the floor with the ignoramus
(to my dear Republican friends, please excuse this one venture into partisan politics; won’t happen again).

Fall has arrived and with it colder weather and rain on our final day in this lovely town. Following a morning visit to the fitness center for one last time, we had a pretty quiet day. Had a nice lunch down the street at Bubba’s. For dinner we went to a nice place called Franklin’s. So tonight we start packing our bags as we depart from this terrific condo and head down to Detroit for a few days.
Before dinner, we went to the movies and saw a new film called “Indignation”, based upon a Phillip Roth novel. Very thought provoking and highly recommended.

Sarah Barnes Very hot here with dry Santa Anas, but due to moderate tomorrow. I now have profound respect for the humble potato chip!
Bruce Johnson As to your choice of words and reaction to watching the Presidential debates with your Democrat friends, keep in mind this bit of wisdom: Simon and Garfunkel stated it best in their song “The Boxer”: "I am just a poor boy though my story’s seldom told...…….Still, a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest". Profound words-and refers to Democrats and Republicans alike!
Ili Nagy Beautiful weather here in Rome. Our Italian friends are baffled by the ignoramus. Thanks for the movie recommendation. Keep on enjoying - ciao, Ili and Eric
