September 18
After a delightful 4 day stay with us, the Prices moved on today, heading first to Mackinac Island. It was really a pleasure having them with us.
We enjoyed a nice noodle bowl lunch in town at a place called Gaijin, then went home, changed, and headed back to Interlochen for another symphony concert at Corson Hall. This was the second week of George Gershwin, today featuring the Cuban Overture followed by American in Paris. After intermission, we were treated to a monumental performance of Porgy and Bess.

Another golf day as excellent weather persists. The locals say it’s the best September in many years. Today we drove to a course on the Leelanau Peninsula called Bahle Farms. It was a magnificent and scenic course like many others in northern Michigan. I managed a 91, but found the course a bit too challenging for me. Rita played very nicely. Amazingly, just as we finished the round, the rain began; so typical of mid-west weather.
After dinner, we went to see the film "Snowden"; highly recommended.
Below are examples of the lovely homes and buildings in this neighborhood.
