After a much needed lie in we awoke on Wednesday and headed to the familiar Central Pier to take advantage of the free admission into the museums. The space museum was small but interesting although disappointingly despite our badgering Owen refused to go in the zero gravity harness (as the rest of us exceeded height and/or weight limits).
The real excitement of the day was going to Causeway Bay for race night. The impressive course boasted a grandstand that would dwarf its equivalent at Ascot and an obscene amount of money exchanging hands (in comparison to our £1 bets). The track was shadowed by a host of skyscrapers that surrounded them making the scene truly incredible. It was easy to see why Hong Kong glorifies the race course as one of it's main attractions.
Sadly we returned home after a quick chat with Yun, with very little winnings or none in my case (although I came close to a forecast a few times). Having said that not many people go to the races, bet on every race and come home saying it cost them less than £10.
