Mataranka is known for its hot springs. We went and had a quick look at the Mataranka Thermal Pool before setting up camp near the Bitter Springs hot springs. We went for a couple of swims in here.

Our campsite was right near the river bank. We had a fire going which we sat by last night listening to the various night sounds. David is adamant he heard a croc in the nearby water.
