Today we finished packing and headed off to Kissimmee Books A Million to find three of us new books. I am still with Jamie in The Scottish Prisoner! Was very tempted to buy copy of "Outlander" just cos!!. Kate was looking for book two of her Hush Hush series, Adrian for book two of his series and Jack a new series. Everyone came out with two books each costing around $7.99 a book!! Bargain. No excuse not to buy a book in the States!
From there we headed to Florida Mall for some lunch, haircuts for the boys and some last chance retail therapy. Aeropostale, a very popular brand over here had a sale on so we grabbed some gear - undies 5 for $20 nd really comfy! Tshirts $5.00 etc. a quick look through Abercrombie and Fitch - such gorgeous clothes and very reasonable pricing over here but nothing for this little black duck.i am not the A& F preppie build.
Headed off to Sheraton Vistana to check in to find they have no booking - lucky it is not high season- I had confirmation paperwork so there was no drama about them finding a condo for us! And managed to get extra night in the same room too. Only $149 for extra night. The apartment has a front door and back door. We overlook a pool, on the 3 floor and it is lovely and big!!! The kids have a double bed each heaps of cupboard space and drawers too. Plasma tv in their room and their own ensuite. Spoilt!! We have king size bed, spa bath as well as separate shower and toilet. The kitchen is full size with dining room and loungeroom. We have a balcony/sunroom that both the lounge and our bedroom open onto. Luxury!!!!
The kids tried out two of the pools in cold cold weather. About 14 degrees if lucky. Met a man from Holland Michigan. He was actually born in Holland as in The Netherlands and as small child emigrated to California. After graduating Uni and getting married work took him to Holland where he has lived ever since. A full circle I think. Very interesting man.
Had dinner in the resort and it was I think our most expensive so far and very ordinary! We will be dining out of the resort from here on in. Holland man tells us Wendy's is just a few doors down ( the resort by the way has 9 pools and is the size of Parkdale nearly) and at Wendys you can be salad $1.00, baked potato ( $1,00), hamburgers ($1.25) and chili for $1.29 - sounds like my kind of place!!! Dinner tomorrow night sorted.
Early night tonight as we are off to astronaut training in the morning. Need to leave by 7.00 am so need our beauty sleep. Sweet dreams my lovelies!!! xxxxxxx
