Hello everyone, today we are heading south of the North Island to Mercury Bay. We are on the bus with about 30 people and they are all really nice and up for a laugh. We have become good friends with a few groups of lads and girls. There are quite a few Scots onboard! Our main destination was Cathedral Cove but we also stop at a few other places on the way. The scenery on the way was out of this world. When we got to the cove the scenery got even better and we walked 45mins along a dirt track to get to the cove. At the cove the whole group got into the sea and enjoyed some waves that would have matched the South of France. After we made our way to the hostel, which was a really homely family run place and the beds were actually comfortable for once. In the evening we went out for a meal with some of the girls and then went for some drinks at a local bar with them after. A good time was had by all!
