Last day in Florence. Im sad because I loved it here!

Went to see the real David today. Shocked by the line because one of the girls we met had to wait 3 hours !!! We only waited about 20- we have been really lucky with lines this hole trip. The statue was beautiful, the details were amazing- all the veins and ... muscles! Really wow, and just so large in scale it makes you step back and really look closely.

Then explored the streets till the heat became just too much and crashed back at the room. That night for dinner we did Aperitivo: very common in Italy where you buy a drink for a bit of a higher price and than you get an all you can eat buffet- you have to know where to look to find a good one. Ours was awesome for 8.50 and had a wide selection from meats, pasta, rice, breads, and fruits & veggies. And all you can eat !

Then back for the challenge of repacking with all the goodies I bought for back home :)
I am going to have to have one big dinner party for everyone and go all out!
