Arrived in Milan around 1330 and crashed right away- I dislike 8 am buses! The area around our hostel is a bit rough but we have great security and are right by the metro.
Next day in we checked out the Duomo- yet another church, free entry! This one wasn't as impressive as the one in Florence. However, it did have mummified bishops! Kinda creepy.. Checked out the mall, not as big as I thought it was going to be. Basically this entire area around the duomo is shopping, so did a bit of that...
That night we hunted down some aperitivo- Italian buffet. We found an awesome one that had a great selection! It's the way to eat when you are trying to keep a budget. Then of course finished the night off with a gelato and rolled ourselves back to the hostel.
