Quiet day today. Went to stroll the streets and did a little shopping for the family. Walked along the river an again saw a ton of swans. Had a nice lunch by the water and watched all the birds as our free entertainment. I guess I was entertainment as well since a stupid little bird pooped on my arm- thank god it didn't land in my food- but then I dropped my bread so I was pretty ticked off! Slept in which was much needed. Only downside is our room is so hot !!! Went to the lake today with the girls and Brennin and rented a paddle boat. It was great ! The water was so refreshing- and I think Brennin enjoyed being around girls all day, and he has a room full of them. It was such a hot day outside. Sad to of left Lauterbrunnen :(. It was a nice short bus ride to Lucerne - about 1.5 hours. Hostel checkin wasn't until 4pm so a group of us left to check out the town. Had an amazing last day in Switzerland! I pretty much am planning on coming back here either during the winter or summer next year- I absolutely love it here. Maybe even this winter if I'm able. Walked to the gondola - about 1.5 hrs, and took it up to the town of Gimmelwald. This way was so much cheaper than going all the way to the top and still got stunning views. Woke up very stiff this morning, therefore today will be our quiet lazy day. Not such a bad thing when you have beautiful scenery to look at. Went to the butcher and bought some juicy looking steaks for tonight. Also went to the cafe and had an amazing dark hot chocolate and one of their very addictive brownies. I just love it here, I may not come home ... Consider my new address to be Lauterbrunnen Switzerland !
