Betty and crew are sat comfortably in the municipal campsite in Argentan, listening to the rock concert going on in the adjacent park.
We left the village aire in Val-de-Saane after a slow breakfast and a quick dog walk. We ended up with three other neighbors in the end so somebody to share with. Rena felt the need for a bit of campsite luxury so we picked the one at Argentan as it was on our route and it had an aire outside it so we could have a fall back if the campsite was full. The sat-nag announced it would take just over 2hrs so off we went. It turned out to be a pleasant drive, a stop at halftime for a lunch snack and a comfort break for all.
We pulled in at French lunch o'clock, so we waited on the aire until the church bells at 2pm signalled some movement. We managed to bag the last but one plot, a busy weekend they said, a concert in the adjoining park and a boules tournament tomorrow.
After settling in we could see all our French neighbors practicing their boules techniques, it's taken very seriously.
Well chicken and chips for tea and a walk in the park for the concert, we will let you know.
