Betty is resting her tyres after a longer journey than we first thought. We were up this morning and breakfasted, Missey walked then off around the local market for our first taste of what the French do best. The fruit and vegetable stalls doing brisk business, everything so colourful and fresh. Serena then inspected the various clothes stalls finally selecting a new sun dress for €5. We then grabbed a few essentials and returned to Betty. After emptying and filling as required we set off, I thought we would keep to the coast so we headed to Le Tréport, well I should have realised a Friday in August on the coast on a glorious day it would be busy!! The aire was rammed even some motorhomes had parked on the grass next to the marked bays. We aborted the mission, carried on to a nearby layby and had lunch looking at the map and Aires book. We decided to head a bit further west and south to escape the busy coast. Another 45 mins and we arrived at Val-de-Saale a nice little aire with hedged bays and best of all it's free, we like free. Popping to the shop now for some Normandy cider to wash tea down.
Cheers,
