Its been a long day today for all Betty’s crew, we finally parked her wheels at Citi Europe at 2000hrs.
The day started well with an early breakfast and all the filling and emptying done by 0930, our 24hrs were up at 1030hrs so we had something to aim for, €12 later and we we’re away.
We had a leisurely 2hr drive to St Omer where Missey had an appointment with the Vet at 1800hrs. We pulled in the aire opposite the Vets at midday, then promptly pulled off again and back to a Carrefour supermarket we had passed earlier. Supplies obtained plus a cooked chicken and lunch was taken in the fine surroundings of the car park.
We made our way back to the aire and spotted a Lidl round the corner. A bit more wine found its way back to Betty’s locker.
We then snoozed / read the rest of the afternoon waiting for the appointment time.
Twenty minutes early we entered the Vets, an hour and twenty minutes later we came out, €33 lighter but with passport stamped and a clean bill of health. So much for making an appointment. The aire was still empty apart from Betty, so we decided to move and plumbed for Citi Europe shopping centre to give Rena a bit of retail therapy, I just hope I don’t need therapy after.
