Betty and crew are finally resting on an aire in Dreux, which was our second stop of the day.
We left Amboise this morning with the clouds heavy in the sky really dull and overcast. I managed to work the ticket machine to lift the barrier and we hit the road heading for Meung-sur-Loire a stop that looked good in our book.
An hour into the journey and we had a pit stop at a Super U for fuel and supplies and more wine comparing. We then pushed on and arrived at Meung-sur-Loire in the rain. We got ourselves a space and watched as about six other vans followed us in, it seemed a popular place. We sat and had lunch watching the rain, I took Missey for a quick walk in the adjacent park and when I returned Rena was not happy with the place and wanted to move, so we did.
Our next stop we talked about was at Dreux, and hour and 45 mins away so we set the sat- nag and here we are. A nice new aire with all the bits but out of town on an industrial estate road. Still it felt ok, and we were tired so we set up, within a couple of hours we were joined by six other vans two English so we had a nice chat about where we’d all been. Steak and chips and a bottle of cider and it was bedtime.
