Betty has finally stopped on a aire in Thouars after an earlier aborted stop at which we ate lunch looking at big bins.
We left Bazouges-sur-le-Loir after a breakfast of bacon rolls and tea. The morning temperature was already 19 deg so it was shaping up to be another hot day. We set the sat-nag to take us to an aire in the town of Mouleon, we broke the journey up with a stop at a Super U for fuel and supplies. When we finally arrived (got a bit lost in the town) we found there was 2 aires either side of the swimming pool, the original and a new one, we tried the new one but Rena didn’t like the open aspect on to the football ground. The original was half full (2 vans) the rest filled with industrial sized bins, we squeezed in the corner ate lunch but neither of us felt good about it so we picked another at Thouars 40mins away. Here we are, a quick walk into town confirmed that like most high streets shops are struggling with lots shut and a real sad feel. Still the old town defences we are parked near gave us something to look at. A warm night tonight so looks like a sweaty night.
