Today we headed over to the south island. The boat was cancelled yesterday due to really bad weather (a lot of people being sick apparently! so something to look forward to!) This also meant that we hadnt lost Ben and Tara as they couldnt get on the boat so they are now going to stick with us until Franz Joseph which is cool! We all managed to get on the boat and it did sail thankfully with very small amount of bumpiness thank god! We entertained ourselves by playing cards and eating curry (which really wasnt very nice at all - not recommended!) Arrived into Picton about an hour late and got on the road to Nelson, after being soaked having to walk out across the boat to collect our bags (I do love torrential rain!) We didnt really do much else that day except arrive into Nelson. Tash, Heather and myself had a little walk around the town which had a real New England feel to it - very pretty. The place we are staying in was run by an Irish lady and it had a real country pub feel which was so nice. We got yet another roast that night (doing really well with these!) and free wine tasting - all good!! I personally prefered the first one...cant quite remember the name of it unfortunately!
