Hi Everyone! Well we are now in Wanaka, where we have spent the last 3 nights. So nice to be in the one place for more than one night! To add to this, our accomodation has only been $20 a night (approx 6 quid) - all the rooms are ensuite and we have TVs that play about 4 movies a day. It's so great! Wanaka is actually a ski resort even though its about 40mins away from the mountains. Tash and I arent actually sking, but the rest of the group are. Unfortunately the first day, one lot didnt get to ski as there were electric storms (always nice when you are stood at the top of a mountain!) however, the second day was pretty good. I think tash was desperate to get up there but she held tight as she is going in Feb. Wanaka is a really pretty place. It sits right on Wanaka lake and is surrounded by snowy mountains. It's been a really nice place to chill for a few days.
