3/10/2011: We left Glasgow for Edinburgh, we have had a fantastic time here in Edinburgh, so much easier to get around than Glasgow. 4/10/11: We did a tour to Loch Ness, Glencoe, Perth Oh what a trip we just did, we left at 8 a.m. and got back at 8 p.m. we called thru Fort William, I was there the last time I was in Scotland, it's changed a lot. we then had a quick stop and Glencoe, then we stopped at a small town can't remember it's name, for lunch, we went to the local pub, had lambs fry and bacon oh it was delicious, then we headed for Loch Ness what a loverly place, we could have had a cruise on the Loch, but decided not to, we did one on Lake Windermere, and it was freezing at Loch Ness so we went for a walk, then settled down for a nice cup of coffee. we called into Perth on our way home, only there for about a half hour, 8t was cold and wet sot didn't see much, arrived back in Edinburgh and yes it was still raining:
5/10/11: We did the hop on hop of bus today, our frst port of call was the 'Royl Yacht Brittania' this was very interesting, but it's very out dated. we had a coffee on scone while we were onboard(see photos) : then back on the bus for Holyrood Palace, Oh this is so depressing, how can Liz enjoy this Palace, very dull and had a very old musty smell, well I suppose that's warrented, as it's ancient. The gardens at the Palace were beautiful, then we were back on the bus headed for Edinburgh Castle, this was great, I remembered it from the last time i was here, but i think we managed to see more than when I was here last time, we managed to see most of the Castle before a strom came thru, oh boy did it rain, and the wwind was so strong, so we decided to leave and catch the bus again, this time we just did a city tour, by this time it was tea time, we called into a 'chinese restuartant, jimmy chung's it was all you can eat for 10.99 pounts. great value, we went there on monday for lunch, lunch is cheaper it's only 8.95 pounds. yes it's still raining, we made it bck to our guest house before it poured.Tomorrow we are off to York for a couple of nights. we would have loved to have stayed in "Edinburgh another night, there is just so much to see here.
