We left York on Fiday 8th October for Peterborough, we were met in Peterborough by Edna and Tony, friends of Adrians, they took us all over the place we went to Sandringham had a good look around the grounds etc, we had a roast pork with yorkshire pudding for lunch while there, then on Monday they took us into Lincolnshire, we walked to the Cathedral, and then walked thru the town of Lincoln, very lovely place, We left Edna and Tony this morning, we are now back ...

We left Edinburgh in the rain, arrived here in York in sunshine, had a good look around, went to the York Minster Cathederal, that is an eye opener, we spent a couple of hours here, we went into the crypt, and saw when it was Roman times etc. was a great display, we then went to there National Railway Museum, this was free to get into, (our price) : lol; this was great, it was set out fantasticly, from very old trains, royal carriages etc, japanese bullet trains,...

We awoke to another day of rain: But that didn't stop us going out and about, we caught the hop on hop off bus out the front of our hotel, our first stop was the Botanical Gardens here in Glasgow, it was just as I remembered from when I was here with Mum 26 years ago, we were in the gardens for nearly an hour, would have been better if it hadn't been raining. Our next stop was a market place, very 'brickworks style' and very junky and cheap, didn't stay long here...
