Went to draw some money out this morning for our daily allowance where we then found that Dave had thoughtfully remembered not to take the card back from the machine, when we were in Phi Phi...oops. So his morning was spent ringing England and spending a fortune trying to cancel the card! Luckily we've still got Claire's, but have to be extra careful now!

In the afternoon we got a tuk tuk down to the Songkran festival in the main town. Songkran is Thai New Year which is celebrated by tradition to have a huge waterfight! What a way to bring in the new year! We got absolutely soaked by buckets of ice cold water, hot water and plastered head to toe in talcum powder!

Dave got all excited when he bought a nice little water pistol from the shop, but the excitment didnt last too long when he realised he looked pathetic with his little gun against all the supersoaker 2000's the locals had!

The town centre was a huge massive party with music blaring and water flying from balconies, passing trucks, hose pipes and people in the streets! It did seem a little dangerous though when passing motorbikes were having buckets of water thrown at them full pelt into their path and face! Oh well, was still well good fun!

We relaxed in the hotels bar at night whilst Claire failed to tempt David into having a chip!
