We got picked up this morning bang on time at 10am for our ride to the pier for our boat for Langkawi, Malaysia! We don't know Lanta too well but we do know that the pier is left from our hotel not right, which was the direction the driver decided to go, fortunatley he was just making a quick stop at the travel agents before he turned round to go the right direction - wahey we're on or way! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE'S MUM!! 50 TODAY!! Walked into town this morning to book our transport to Langkawi for tomorrow. We decided to spend a bit more money to get the ferry direct to the island from Lanta rather than go back to the mainland and drive for 4-5 hours to just catch a another ferry to Langkawi. We needed to get to Ban Sala Dan, which is the main northern town on Lanta and about 10 miles away from us to sort out the cash card incident! We hired a really groovy looking scooter. Unfortunatley today wasn't one of our better ones! Claire woke up feeling terrible and as from early morning to late evening didn't stop throwing up - not sure if it was the food or the beers but she won't be ordering the garlic and pepper dish again.
