Headed over to the death railway and bridge over the river Kwai mid morning. It's famous as 100,000's POW's died whilst building the railway and bridge for the Japaneze army during WWII. It was also bombed by the Americans and the Japanese tied all American prisoners to the bridge to stop it from happening - it was still blown up. Begrudgingly we dragged ourselves our of bed at 6.15am to get the train to Kanchanaburi. Dave not surprisingly got us to the train station with plenty of time to spare and we queued for our ticket.
