After getting up at 6.30am we made it to the bus station with seconds to go before missing the bus to Koh Chang! It was supposed to be a nice 5 1/2 hour bus journey travelling through the east part of Thailand and it started off nicely meeting other friendly travellers.

One hour into the journery however we were interrupted by a 'demon' baby. Who firstly started to cry...one hour later whilst still crying, a strange smell filled the hot and clammy bus - the smell of baby poo. We then had the pleasure of front row seats to view the 'demon' baby getting it's nappy changed, making the smell all the more vibrant. 'Demon' baby carried on crying, pausing for a good five minutes to be sick all over the floor of the bus and spraying in every direction it could find. 'Demon' baby again carried on crying for the next 4 hours...

Finally arrived at the pier and boarded the ferry to take us to Koh Chang. Following other travellers we headed to Lonely Beach to find accomodation. After getting knocked back a couple of times by 'no vacancies' we found a place called Nature Beach.

We have now got a beach hut bungalow for as long as we want which is a 10 second stroll to the beach. Hut is just what you see on the pictures (although you dont see the bathroom in the mag) - Just going to have to get used to no hot water, a toilet with no flush - just a bucket with a fish swimming in it, a sink where it also washes your feet because of the hole where the pipe should be and an ant colony by the shower - all this however, is supervised...by the massive spider in the corner.

Dont get us wrong though, absolutely loving every minute of it - it's what this travelling lark is all about!

Just going to go and chill out in the bar now and enjoy the rest of our first night in Koh Chang.
