Lithuania is definitely at it's best during the summer. It has been sunny almost every day, with 25-30 C weather and no humidity. All the buildings are decorated with window boxes, and the main street has sprouted all sorts of sidewalk cafes. Life is good. I have some time off from Aura, and am really enjoying my vacation. I'm sleeping late, reading in the garden, and planning a trip to Berlin for next week. I've heard so much about the city, it will be very nice to see a bit of it myself. Of course, it is probably not the best time of year to visit, since it seems that all of europe is enjoying thier vacations right now. But I'm sure I'll be able to find a little fun while I'm there. ;-) I only have a week to explore before I have to return to Lt for rehearsals. But after the show, I will fly into Dusseldorf to attend the international tanzmesse (www.tanzmesse-nrw.com). There will be over 40 different choreographers from all over the world, performances, discussions, films, etc. I am very excited!! I think it will be a wonderful opportunity to see new work, new companies, and get a broad idea of the different styles of contemporary dance that are currently popular. Then after gorging myself on dance, I will my friends Slava and Gosha in Cologne and maybe create a little bit myself.
