I returned from germany on monday and immediately started classes in the dance workshop held in Vilnius. After such a long time without any kind of training (other than that I teach myself) I was very happy to have four wonderful new teachers and (almost) a full week of courses. Ballet in the morning, followed by release technique, contact improv, and composition/coaching. What was really interesting was that all the teachers gave similar comments/corrections despite their different backgrounds. It makes me wonder what would happen if I could work like this every day... And how to find an opportunity to work and perform while receiving such training... That is the real question, always at the back of my mind: Where is there a company that will give me ample perfoming opportunities, pay me enough to live on, and nuture my dancing (helping me to become a little better every day). Does it exist? Is it too much to ask for?
