I'm having a great time in amsterdam! It is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to. No matter where you go it looks just like a postcard. Unreal. I've been thinking a lot about my dad looking at the architecture. Each building has it's own idea of vertical. The land here is all man made, so they all slowly start sinking and then after a while they become historical monuments (or something) and can't be fixed. In fact they are still adding land to the city. So, when I went to a performance in the new part of town, it really was new. Everyone here is incredibly nice, although it seems like all I meet are americans (or canadians). Teachers, directors, dancers, random people on the street... Even three or four from california. :) I met one at the Henny Jurrens studio and he took me to an improv workshop with another one who has lived here since the 70's. Plus, I stopped in Rotterdam for a day on the way to Amsterdam and ran into Pascal (a friend of mine from NYC) randomly walking down the street! What are the odds of that happening?! He only has a week off to travel and was staying way off in the suburbs. I still can't believe it.
