Well we have been in Surfers Paradise nearly a week now. This is where we have decided to settle, not in Surfers but in The Gold Coast. Its been a hard week trying to sort things out but we are getting there now.

We move into an apartment tomorrow in Southport. Its fully furnished and I mean fully furnished, it has everything we need. We have a shared pool and loads of sunbathing room. We even have our own BBQ on the balcony. We will put some pictures on the blog soon.

Lou has found a nursery that is helping her our with getting a blue card (police check). They are also giving her casual work when they need someone to come in at short notice. Its about 5 minutes walk from our apartment so thats really good.

I have applied for a few jobs and signed up with some agencies. I am hoping to get some work soon, there are a few accounting jobs here but not as many as in the big cities. We would rather live here though, the beach is 1 min walk from our apartment and there are loads of beaches within 10 minute drive from where we are.

Its our 4 year anniversary today so we are going our for a few drinks and a meal tonight. Its our last night in the hostel as well so thats another reason to celebrate.
