Day two was spent on a tour of Lake Minnewanka and the a hike up Johnston Canyon to see some waterfalls.
Lake Minnewanka was a shuttle bus away from the campground, but we were able to take a short cut through the woods to save some time. We were able to board the boat with a tour guide that told us of some of the history. It's name means Lake of the Spirits- First Nations people feared its spirits- also why there is a place called Devils Gap there.
Johnston Canyon was a great hike. We hit up some waterfalls and was able to go behind the spray to see the work of water from the inside. Some ledges were narrow and high, other parts were cut right into the mountain walls. The boys were kept moving with the help of Starbursts! Love our adventures together.
