After battling temperatures of 114 degrees, we packed up the campers and headed for the beach. Doheny State Beach was our next stop, lots of waves and surfers there. We all got a little banged up trying to boogie board. The kids played so well together- in the sand, on their bikes, at the table playing cards... whatever they did they had fun. The adults had fun too, but it’s really about the kids!

We headed out early in July Fourth to make our way south to visit Fred's brother and his family. Long day of driving, but it was worth it. We pulled into their driveway around 9, after 700 miles! Making our way south. Visited Crater Lake. Cold, beautiful lake- deepest in the US and cleanest in the world. The crazy blue water! We explored some of the rim, visited the gift shops, and chatted with the rangers to have them explain why the water is so blue...still not sure why though!
