We took our last day at Banff to explore Glaciers! Our tour began with a quick shuttle to the base of the glacier. We then boarded snocoach (big big tires) to the base of the Athabasca Glacier. The glacier is always moving a retreating, leaving different landscapes in its path. We drank fresh glacier water right from the edge of the glacier. Beautiful mountains all around to look at from the cold.
Then we walked the glass-floored Glacier Skywalk. Crowded...interactive guide that the boys sorta listened to, but a little too busy. It gave us good views the mountain valley below.
We headed up to Jasper from there...one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Along the way we saw a total of 5 bears just chillin on the side of the highway. We walked around the town of Jasper...maybe going the wrong way, but still got a walk in.
Traveling across the huge country of Canahdia (as Danny would say it) was worth it. Banff and Jasper National Park were amazing!
