Well today didn't quite go according to plan. We thought we'd finish planning right up to half way through Thailand where we have things booked already. But we had thought we would ask to stay here for another four nights until our flight to Ho Chi Minh city. We had done a little organising after breakfast then James went down to ask if that were ok and because we would be staying for so long he was going to ask if a slight discount were possible. He was gone quite a while and came back not looking pleased. Apparently the rate he had been told for the two previous extra nights was wrong, he had had to argue that that's what we were paying and that wasn't his fault it was theirs. And as soon as he asked for a discount apparently she just changed from being nice to being nasty. James said it was as if the word had offended her, he tried to apologise if it had offended but she was angry by then and there was no turning back. So they agreed we would pay the lower price for the last two days because she had got it wrong and we wouldn't be staying the four extra nights here. So instead of sorting Thailand when James came back we had to sort somewhere else to stay. We've decided to just find another hotel to stay in for the next four nights, as we like the laid back atmosphere of Hoi An. The planning ended up taking all day but we have organised most of what we wanted to. We went to the restaurant we have really liked near here again, James got a set meal which had four different traditional things to try. The fried won tons were really good, nothing like the Chinese ones we got from the take away though. On the walk back to the hotel it had got quite dark but you could still see the cockroaches scuttling around on the floor and then in front of a house on the main street a huge rat went running into the bushes. Lovely walk back!?
