In the early hours of the morning a baby started to cry, you just couldn't make it up what was happening! The lights went on at around 4am and we just all sat like zombies listening to the baby. At 5am the train pulled into the station and we got off, not before taking photographs to remind ourselves of this , taking one of Sam and have Sam take one of us. We said bye to Sam and made our way out of the station to get a taxi. There were loads of them, we got one to take us to the airport, got in and relaxed. When he set off James just checked the compass and we weren't going in quite the right direction for the airport but it wasn't long and the car stopped. The boot was opened and our bags put into another taxi, we were then told that this taxi would take us to the airport for the same price. We have no idea why this happened and really didn't have time to think about it before we were on our way again. James double checked with the driver that he was going to the airport and the cost, he said yes. Again James checked the compass and we were going in the opposite direction, James checked airport with the driver, he said yes. Not far down a few roads we pull up again, the driver says stay there and goes over to another taxi. Gives some guy a piece of paper, gets back in the car, waits, the other guy gets out of his car with a computer and gets into ours, they talk, our driver hands over some money and the other guy gets back out. Meanwhile James and I are looking at each other like what the hell is going on?! After the other guy leaves our driver says we go now, James again says airport and the guy shows us a card saying airport driver. We set off in the right direction this time and this actually seems as though we are going to the airport this time. We get to the airport and get out, the driver asks for more money than agreed but we just pay what was agreed and walk away, we are way too tired to argue. We plonk down in the airport for a while. With two hours to go to fly we check our bags in and head to a cafe for coffee. I'm not sure why but in Vietnam you only get half a cup of coffee and if you want it with milk you get it with condensed milk at the bottom for you to stir in. Very tired and very disappointed with the coffee. We waited until our flight was called and got on the plane. James had a window seat and I was in the middle with a random guy on the end. As per usual with wherever James sits he gets someone who wants to recline even on a one hour flight. The person didn't recline for long when they realised their chair wouldn't go back all the way because James' legs were there and there was a little blue language coming from James' chair. We both put our earphones in and the flight was over pretty quickly we'd been sleeping on and off. We got off, got our luggage and found the taxi driver with our name, then started to breathe out that, that was all over! We arrived at the hotel at 12 ish, obviously looking very tired because the girl checking us in commented on it. Both desperate for a shower and to lie down to be told our room wasn't quite ready. We were disappointed but it wasn't so bad because we were both also really hungry. She gave us some maps so we left the luggage and head off in search of food, she'd recommended somewhere but we didn't get that far. We found a place which did all sorts I had fried pho and James had a beef sandwich. It was really good, also washed down by a couple of beers because we thought we deserved them after the last few days. We went back to the hotel just before 2pm and were shown to the room. Everything got dumped on the floor and we just laid on the bed. We got showers which felt so good, no more smoke stinking and got into bed. We slept from about 5pm until 8pm when people were making noise outside. Then from 9pm onwards!
