I got up pretty early and got on with catching up with a few things whilst James slept. We headed out at about 10.00am, there’s a place downstairs close to the pool to get breakfast bagels and coffee from so we headed there. I’ve never seen bagels that size before, they were huge. After eating we went to the pool, when we eventually found loungers we stayed for a while. The pool started to get really busy again, although I’m not surprised why as it’s got waterfalls flowing into it, it’s so refreshing on a hot day like today. We went back up to the room when we’d had enough and chilled catching up on a few tings again. We decided that tonight would be ur last night out on the strip to see anything we haven’t caught yet. Also we needed something to eat. We headed out around 6.30pm and went to Denny’s which is on the strip very near to us. We had tea there and then decided to head up to a shopping mall place. American Apple stores have been doing some sort of Iphone cable amnesty. If you bring in your fake cable they will replace it for $10. So we found the Apple shop but we didn’t find it until 9.05pm and it closed at 9.00pm so we’d just missed it, annoying! We had a walk down to the Treasure Island Hotels and casino which was fairly close by. They have a pirate show on the ship outside the casino. We had a look around the casino until 10 minutes before the show was due to start and made our way outside. We found a spot where we’d be able to see, the place was packed. The show started just after 10.00pm, it was the cheesiest thing we’ve seen so far in Vegas, which takes some doing. There was a group of ladies on the pirate ship we could see, lots of singing and dancing and then a group of men came on another boat but this one was actually moving. Also as part of the ‘story’ the men’s ship sank. The ship was actually going down! They have so much money in Vegas to make stuff like this happen for free entertainment. We wanted to make our way down to the Mirage Hotel and Casino as they have a volcano which errupts every hour from 8.00pm-midnight. We would now have to wait until the 11.00pm erruption. Whilst waiting we made our way across the road to Fat Tuesdays and got ourselves another yard of frozen cocktail strawberry and mango. We went back across the road and waited for a spot for the volcano to stsrt. It started dead on 11.00pm, it was pretty awesome, hot though when you stand quite close to it. It went on for about three minutes, we then had a look inside The mirage, it had a huge fish tank behind the reception check in desk which was cool and a lit up garden in the middle. We finished our drink and played slots for a short time before heading back to our hotel and had a bottle of bubbly that we’d bought to celebrate the wedding.
