We got up reasonably early this morning as we wanted to have a walk around part of the strip but before it got too hot. We had breakfast and got some things together and set off. We are thinking of renting a car for the next couple of days as there are a few things we want to do before we leave Vegas/America/Our holiday. We headed first for a small car rental place to get a price but they were expensive compared to the bigger companies online. So we left it to sort out later. We got to the very bottom of the strip at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. This place is extremely posh compared to any we have been in so far. We had a walk around and looked everywhere we could, we realised they had free wifi so we used it to book the car while we were there and wouldn’t have to worry about it now. From Mandalay Bay there is a covered walkway straight to Luxor which is the hotel and casino with the pyramid and the Egyptian theme. This place was pretty amazing, I prefer the cheesy themed casinos than the posh ones. We again went all around this place and went through another covered walkway to Excalibur which has a castle theme. It’s got a kids arcade on the lower level which had penny pushers (but being in Vegas these were quarter pushers) it felt like we were back in Brid for a minute. The machines even gave out tickets rather than cash. We went outside to get a good look and had a walk over to the front of the Luxor as they have a huge Sphinx outside. We walked back through Excalibur to New York New York. We have been in here before but not for very long. We made sure we had a good look around. The roller coaster was very popular, going inside and out. After visiting all of these we headed back to the hotel. We chilled in the room for a bit in the afternoon. In the evening James went over to the casino for a bit, I met him in there and for the first time he’d made a bit of money, up $100! We headed back to the room where we ordered a pizza for tea. We had a late bizarre phone call from someone saying they were from the hotel. Basically someone ringing round trying to get credit card details, they hung up when James said he was heading to reception to see them in person. We watched some tv and ate our pizza.
