We had arranged yesterday to take a boat trip this morning. This way we can get the most out of the moving day, so we were up and out by 8.30am to get to the office to pick us up. Just about everyone on the trip was British. We set off at about 9.30am on the boat, we went for quite some time then stopped in the middle of the sea where we waited to see the dolphins. There were loads of them and two different types, it was amazing to see but extremely difficult to get any decent photographs!! We also saw some flying fish, they were really small fish and probably 50-100 swimming together and all jumping out of the water together right next to the boat. The boat then moved off to closer to Candolim's shoreline where we were told about some of the historical parts of it including seeing their jail. It was a jail that was in use but looked really old fashioned and was right up to the sea wall. There were even prisoners waving out of the windows at the boat! Next to that was a row of small buildings, he said this was the detention centre for women as they don't have a women's prison here. We then went a little way out from Coco beach, the one we went to the other day. The boat stopped and this was the point where you could get off and swim if you wanted to, James did, I gave it a skip as boats don't really agree with my stomach :( He said it was really warm though which he wasn't expecting. After this the boat took us to Coco beach where we got off to have some lunch. We had grilled Kingfish, rice, lentil curry, samosas, and lots of other things. When we had, had a little time on the beach we got back on the boat to set off back to the bus. The trip was great and well worth doing.
We got back to our hotel to pick up our bags at about 1.30pm, then got a tuk tuk to Povorim which is our next stop for 3 days.
