We had a day off from the beach today and decided to get ahead with some reading on Thailand etc. Also we thought we would have a look into other things we might want to go whilst here in India. There is a boat trip to see dolphins which goes from Candolim and we want to go to Old Goa and a spice plantation. We may do Old Goa and the spice plantation when we are in Porvorim, our next stop where we'll be closer.
We went for a walk later on to see the rest of Candolim. It's a really nice place and has lots of nice places to eat and drink. We looked for somewhere in particular to eat for tomorrow night though, as usual tripadvisor had a great review on a place, it is called Victors. It is a small beach shack run only by Victor who you visit the day before and order your food then and there. He then shops for the items during the next day and cooks everything from fresh. He has his own prawn farm too so they are extremely fresh. He only has 5 tables in the shack and only one sitting per night. So we found him, he seemed like a really nice guy, James had read good things about the steak so ordered that with a prawn cocktail starter and I went for tiger prawns with a dressed crab starter. So we shall see tomorrow night if it's as good as the reviews say so!
We bought a couple of things we needed and then took them back to the hotel. We then went out for some tea to a place called The Curry House, the food was lovely and they had a tandoor which they cooked most of their food in. It looked great with kebabs with different marinades on in different colours hanging up ready to be cooked!
