We made use of the scooter again today, there was a place that did homemade cakes etc. So we went there mid afternoon and treated ourselves. We had read there was a beach a little further south of Candolim called Coco beach so thought we'd go for a look. On the way there we drove alongside a stretch of water and there was a large area to stop with steps downwards. There was just one man fishing stood on the steps and his wife sat on a chair at the top. We stopped for a little while and sat, it was so peaceful. You could see fish and jellyfish swimming in the water and crabs climbing on the rocks. We set off again, I think we took a wrong turning somewhere because we seemed to go through a residential village. And through lots of fields with people working in them. It was great to see though, a bit more 'real' India and less of the tourism.
We found Coco beach, it was a long stretch where the sand was black with oil and there were hundreds of shells washed up. There were a lot of boats and lots of Indian people working there. We decided not to stay seen as the beach was so black.
We thought we would give Bobs another go but for tea so it should be open, which it was. It is a bizarre place with all sorts that he has obviously collected over the years and either added it to the walls or put it on a surface. The food was lovely, James was feeling brave and got a crab curry, with the crab still in the shell.
