Moving day again, we had to check out of the hotel for 10.30am this morning which is the earliest check out we have had so far. We thought we would leave our bags after checking out at the hotel and then have a look for that other book shop. We walked straight there, it was really small and quite tucked away. There was a woman and what looked like her mother in there, the place was just shelves filled top to bottom with books! Straight away she had exactly what we wanted, South East Asia Lonely Planet book. It was a little expensive though even with James' haggling, but we need it to work out what exactly we want to do on that part of the trip. After this we got another phone top up for the Indian SIM card so that we can access the Internet while here and last job was to visit the book shop from yesterday. We took the books we had read already and gave them to the man there as he had helped us yesterday and we bought two books from him. One of which was 1984 which James was very pleased with as it cost about £1 and looks new!
We got a taxi to Candolim which took us straight to our hotel, Big Daddy's.
We went straight out to explore the beach and get some lunch, it was not as busy as Calangute but not as quiet as Vagator. There was a nice amount of people and shacks etc. we had lunch at a beach shack and stayed until sun down. We brought some bits back to the hotel chilled for a bit then went to the shop. It has a massive supermarket in the middle, on coming out James spotted a taxi with Eddie Stobart on the back!! When back at the hotel there were a couple of long power cuts, everywhere in Goa seems to have them quite often. I think we may invest in some candles tomorrow just in case they are as long as we had tonight again!
