We had been thinking all week that our train today was in the morning so when we double checked & found it was at 14.04 we had plenty of time in the morning but only managed to go for a walk along the Thames to the Houses of Parliament & past Big Ben then back to the hotel for noon checkout. We once again took the tube back to St Pancras for our Eurostar train to Brussels although we still had a bit of time on our hands so I grabbed some lunch & snacks from the Mark & Spencer shop before we went through security & border control. We had pounds to use up so by the time Sean bought some lunch we still had enough for a beer & a coffee before we boarded our train. Our first impression was that the outside of the train was quite dirty & once we found our seat we agreed that it really needed a refurb inside as it was worn & dated. The journey however went quickly as it was only 2 hours to Brussels, about 20mins of that travelling under the English Channel. Arriving at Brussels Midi we only had to walk to the corner of the station to find the Pullman hotel which was only a few months old & we had got for a steal at $72 for the night when the normal price is €299! Using up their free wifi we did some more accommodation booking then went out to find some dinner which ended up being quick takeaway from the food court in the station. Then it was back to our plush hotel room for the evening.
