Brenton Kovacs's Travels
Woke to blue skies and not too cold. Today we did lots of walking to more attractions. Visited the Westminster Cathedral. They have a lift to the top of the tower for stunning views. Well worth the effort. Had lunch at Covent Gardens. The Paella was great! Caught the subway to Kings Cross for a quick visit before catching a bus to London Tower.
After a typical British dinner of Pork sausages we went for a walk along Southbank to see the German food festival, and take some pictures of Big Ben.
So far we have been very lucky with the weather. As long as we dressed warmly we were more than comfortable all day.
Today we are walking to Regent street. Regent street and Oxford street are no go for cars today only. The sreet is for VIP (very important pedestrians)
This happens only one day each year
Tonight we are off to stay at The Sofitel at Heathrow T5. The following day we fly to Paris to collect our car for the next leg of our trip. A brnad new Renault Megane estate wagon awaits us.
not sure when we will have the internet again
good bye for now

Adrya You are certainly seeing the sites and there are plenty of them in London. I am not sure if you and Alan like curries but London is the best place in the world for a curry - they have such a big Indian population and take the best food to make curries - try a butter chicken which is mild and very tasty.I am pleased you have seen the sun in London and the weather is proving not too cold. West Minister Abbey is astounding. You will both be very fit on your return with all that walking! What is it like being in the central business district of London with all those old buidlings?I will be interested to hear how the new Renault runs and your trip in Europe - such a pretty place to drive through. Getting closer to your roots Brenton as you travel east. I felt very relaxed in Europe and I hope you do too. Enjoy Paris - seems to be everybody's favourite. Shame they drive on the wrong side of the road?Love...............Adrya
