Well we have made it to the most northerly stop of out trip. Drove throught some spectacular countryside from Atherton this morning stopping for several attractions.
For those of you interested in stats it been 4,474 km's from Ballarat, 28 days travelling, the Ford Territory has performed perfectly and is a great tug and the diesel AWD is pretty frugal at 13 litres per 100 km at an average of 90 kmph and the little pop top Jayco has followed obediently without whingeing
We are at a very nice location some 8km south of town in the sugar cane fields near a river. About 3km to the beach. It very peaceful and we are glad we are not in town as it has grown enormously since we were here last in the late 1980's. You really would not recognise it at all. We have 2 weeks to rest and explore the area
Now I know this might come as either a releif or shock to you all, whichever way, but we are going to have a bit blogging holiday for a few days as well so will be in touch whenever but it won't be too long we promise
See you all soon
