Ok tonights its a nice big bold red wine to warm us up yep its a colder day today. We rose pretty early due to next doors campers who got up at 6.30, but we both had to go to the Loo so we both were greeted by the biggest red morning sky. Got to love the outback. We went off to see the Stockmans Hall of Fame and had a good few hours rambling thru all the old stockman stuff and we also got to see the horsemans show too. I enjoyed the show as the person doing it was called Lochie Cossor who knew his stuff and had trained his horses, working dogs, donkey and a bloody huge cow really impressively as all the animals were in top condition and enjoyed what they did without a food reward after each event. Next we left to head into town to have late lunch and check out the main street, then off we took to visit the Thompson river. We found a bloke who wanted to talk (funny about that most of them do!) about his fishing techniques etc so we obliged and listened and listened and yes we listened some more!! He was catching yellowbelly (perch) at the time so we were impressed. After we dragged ourselves away we drove thru the streets checking out the Queenslander homes, some good some not so good. During our walk in the main streeet I found a really riggidige butcher selling local meat and so I went in and have the best beef mince ground fresh and the biggest Tbones (tomorrow nigfht dinner) ever. Just hope I dont freeze to death before Mike gets to cook the burgers for dinner tonight as the sun has set and the cold is wrapping itself around me as I blog away outside!!! we are off tomorrow to Winton good night

helen I like the sound of the horses, and the food! Sounds like an amazing trip. Just pay no attention to what the Aussies are doing cricket-wise!!!
