A beautiful day on the campsite but for some reason we decided that we needed to head off and see Blackpool and so spent a couple of hours on buses heading to town and back for the girls to see the pier and the boys to check out the swimming pool.

We started the morning with a park run and then headed over to Tatton Park for the Apple Day, loads of Roald Dahl activities, an epic playground and some sun shine. No-one really wanted to leave but we had a campsite booked in Blackpool and some illuminations to see...

Great activity session at the Lowry this morning with the children really getting involved and then onto the Museum of Science and Industry for even more learning - very impressive for a Saturday!

The National Football Museum - interesting, fun and free. TGI Fridays (and a ball of string!) as a reward for all the hard work then we stupidly caught the tram in the wrong direction which led us to Old Trafford and the Zorya Luhansk game....to see the children's faces when they realised that they were going to the match was well worth the long drive yesterday!
