We had a quick look around Fjaerland this morning, a tiny village beside the Sognefjord, next to the Jostedalsbreen glacier, known as the book capital of Norway. From here we had a beautiful view down the fjord one way and the glacier the other way - possibly my favourite 'fjord-view' so far. The weather was appalling however (again) so we had a plan to head to a water-park in Gaupne but on arrival the entire town was in the midst of a huge fair and there was no room for Bob to get in so we gave up and headed on to Jostedal. I was very grumpy on the drive as the weather was beginning to get on my nerves but I was very impressed with the children's positivity and luckily the weather cleared enough for us all to enjoy a walk up to see the glacier before dinner.
