We headed off on the bikes towards Moesgaard this morning and had a slightly more challenging cycle than the bike path we were imagining but, having persevered on our cycle through the woods, we eventually arrived at the Moesgaard museum. We had a coffee overlooking the exhibition in the entrance hall which showed human evolution and gave M&D the option of whether we went into the museum or headed back and they surprised us both by wanting to go in......

Caught an early bus into Aarhus (Denmark's second largest city after Copenhagen) and headed straight to an open-air museum called "Den Gamle By." It was an engaging museum and consisted of 75 half-timbered houses brought from all corners of Denmark and reconstructed as a market town from the era of Hans Christian Anderson. We had a day on the campsite playing on the playground and going to the beach. We had jacket potato for lunch and delicious curry for tea. Also, I bought some Mentos with my pocket money. In the afternoon, I had a scrumptious double caramel ice cream. Words by Megan

We couldn't come all the way to Denmark and not take the two small (and one big) lego fans to the place where it all began so we headed North to Billund today and managed to coincide our visit with not only the hottest day of the year so far but also a bank holiday weekend in Denmark - not since Halloween at Port Aventura have we seen so many people in one place at one time..... well it wasn't quite as bad but we have got used to no queues whilst travelling out ...
