We spent the next few days with Duncan and Zoe relaxing in San Jose where the sun was out and hot!

Duncan and Ben played golf on Saturday near Carmel and Ben won the longest drive in the competition they were playing! Zoe and I went for a walk in the morning and then she treated me to a hot stone pedicure, which was lush after spending a month in walking boots. We went to a lovely place called the Counter for dinner one night where you can make your own burgers, Ben was in his element... Ben helped Duncan with some DIY jobs around the house while us girls did the most important job directing! We had a lovely time with Duncan and Zoe and were very sad to leave them on Monday.

Monday we were up early Duncan dropped us at San Jose airport so we could pick up our hire car ready for the drive south to LA. We arrived in Monterey Bay at 9.30am and we walked along the coastal path towards Monterey Bay Aquarium. Ben had always wanted to visit the aquarium as most of you know he loves fish, just can't eat them!!

It is impressive they have a really good variety of tanks, we watched the penguins and sea otters being fed before the main event which was the feeding of the great white in the main tank.

After a few hours we had to get back on the road and took some of the coastal road route 1 before getting back on the highway for LA. It was a long drive but we finally arrived in LA at around 6pm checked our bags in and then had five hours to spare before our flight left. LA airport has very few shops and no wifi so it was a long night! On the plus side we did see fifty cent and his entourage walking through the airport!
